At the heart of Domaine Bobinet is the progressive young duo of Sébastien Bobinet and Eméline Calvez. Passionate about biodiversity, natural vinification and unadulterated winemaking, the two have played an important hand in the revitalization of Saumur-Champigny and making the region the first AOC in France to collectively decide on the reduction of chemical treatments. The holistic preservation of the region’s terrior takes first importance, with the couples’ mere 2 hectares farmed organically with the help of horse-drawn plows. With truly non-interventionist winemaking, Sébastien and Eméline’s wines are incredibly drinkable and express the heightened aromatics and stoney minerality that characterises the Saumur terrior so well.
