After quitting his day job in Provence in 2012, Marc Delienne moved to work with Eloi Durrbach of Domaine Trevallion before travelling to Alain Graillot at Domaine de Fa, while searching for a vineyard for himself. It was Graillot that insisted that Delienne look for a site in Beaujolais. In 2015 Marc finally achieved the dream of purchasing a plot in the heart of Fleurie.
Domaine Marc Delienne is located in the south-eastern corner of Fleurie. The vines are are grown to ancient granitic loam soils. It is hotter and more exposed than the steeper soils of La Madone. All his plots have organic certification status. The wines are full of detail, nuance and elegance. Natural winemaking takes centre stage with minimal sulphur, hand harvesting, wild ferments as you would expect.
