Georges Laval

The most minuscule and tightly run estate in Cumières, Champagne is known to only a select group of those amongst the growers Champagne appreciation club. The most unassuming little plot that you would not even know was there as you drove past, the Laval family has been growing vines there for four generations and in 1971 Georges Laval started making estate-bottled Champagne. Laval works the vines organically and in the cellar is of the natural wine philosophy, with basket press, indigenous (wild) yeast for ferment and no filtering or fining of the wine.
