Founded in 1996 by Masaji Oshita who was at the time the owner of a liquor shop in Osaka and was after some more interesting beer varieties in Japan. He chose the city of Minoh in north-western Osaka, famous for its national parks and wild monkeys. Masaji set up the brewery and handed the reins to his eldest daughter Kaori to become the head brewer. Today the brewery is run by Kaori and her sister Mayuko and they produce some truly delicious beer. This is the first time that the beer has been brought to Australia thanks to the team at Black Market Sake. Availability is limited and is a growing allocation pool in Australia from Minoh over the next few months.
