Philippe Formentin is an exceptional Languedoc producer making wines by organic and biodynamic vineyard purposes, his vineyards and winery are close to the town of Clermont l’Herault. It is about 40 kilometers directly west of the city of Montpelier and north-west of the delightful seaside town of Séte.
Philippe specialises in the white grape Picpoul as well as making interesting light reds with texture and finesse. Traditionally in the area, the reds would be in a rustic, more pronounced full body style. Phillipe is more an experimental winemaker showcasing expressions from the grapes of acidity and fruit that are more to his taste for drinking in the Mediterranean climate.
