Pierre Gerbais

A small artisanal Domaine located in the Côte des Bar, Aurelien Gerbais is an 8th generation grower and 4th generation winemaker of Champagne Pierre Gerbais. Being the southerly most region permitted in Champagne, Cotes des Bar is made up of clay and limestone, kimmeridgian and portlandian soils, similar to that of Chablis.


Pursuing purity, elegance and age-worthiness are central to Aurélian’s process. The farming continues to be certified organic, and the winemaking avoids chemical intervention, incorporating the use of barrels and wild ferments.
