Prima Terra

The Prima Terra project came about in 2003, based around a group friends who share a love for the Cinque Terre, for viticulture, and for traditional winemaking. They are based in Manarola, in the province of La Spezia, within a millennial wine landscape, and national park. The goal is to work with local winemakers in a challenging area of terracing circuits, supported with dry stone walls, that are worked without the help of modern machinery.  Currently, Prima Terra cultivates about 6 hectares of vineyards.  Between the rows both white and red grape varieties are grown such as Bosco, Vermentino, Albarola, Granaccia, Sirah, Sangiovese, Merlot and Vermentino Nero.
