Romain le Bars's CV is certainly not one to underestimate. He's a former protégé of the legendary Didier Barral, and worked alongside renowned winemaker Eric Pfifferling for 7 years at Domaine L'Anglore in Southern Rhone. When a unique opportunity presented itself in the form of a small piece of land in 2018, Romain pounced, meticulously pruning and preparing the vineyard for his first harvest.
Fast forward a couple of years, Romain tends to 5 hectares between his Lirac and Tavel vineyards. Working with biodynamic principles and minimal intervention, Romain crafts wines that are vibrant, expressive, and utterly alive, incorporating slow direct pressing (approx. 3 hours), carbonic maceration and other exciting techniques. From his juicy, light reds to textured, zippy whites, each bottle tells a story of place, purity, and passion.
