Saep Wines is the Adelaide Hills-based project of longtime wine-grower Dave Gartelmann.

Dave is a great farmer that embraces all things organic and biodynamic and the wines are complete with finesse coupled with immense drinkability. Alongside his own winemaking project Dave grows fruit for winemakers such as Gentle Folk, Jauma, Brackenwood and Das Juice. 

The Saep project started for Dave in the early 2000's where he would make small amounts of exciting plots from his own and managed vineyard sites. He took great influence in the early days from longtime friend Abel Gibson from Ruggabellus, where his shiraz releases see a great deal of familiarity. These days Dave makes several micro-cuvees each year out of the shed at Brackenwood Vineyard in Hope Forrest. All wines are wild fermented with nothing added other than a pre bottling sulphur in small amounts.
