Stefano Lubiana

Not only does Stefano and father Marco have some of the most interesting terroir in Australia, down on the Derwent river in Tasmania but they are the first and only biodynamic certified vineyard in Tasmania.

In the vineyard Stefano and Marco are in sync with the rhythms of nature, focused on soil health and regeneration, avoiding all use of synthetics, additives and pesticides. 

Six generations of winemaking in the family have created an engrained attention to detail in their winemaking that is unparalleled in the area. However they've been able to take the winery into the future with the use of whole bunch and wild ferments. The winemaking itself is completely hands-off restraining from the use of acids, synthetics or anything that would taint the natural wine elements they are looking to showcase.
