After years of travelling the world making wine (Matassa, Terroir Al Limit, Dirk Niepoort and more) Craig and Carla Hawkins settled in Swartland, South Africa to make the first macerated Chenin in the country.

Today, they are producing some of the most exhilarating, joyful and bright wines that are pushing forward modern wine, not only for South Africa but for the world. Craig and Carla standby hardcore organic viticulture practices and have a simple motto in which they 'strive to make wine from grapes and nothing else'. The biggest influence in his winemaking life, seems to be Tom Lubbe of Matassa, playing with extended periods of maceration and extreme minimal intervention when handling the grapes and wine.
