Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur crafted from macerating small Japanese plums, ume, in alcohol (eg sake). The mixture is left to ferment for several months, creating a sweet, tart, aromatic drink with a rich, fruity flavour. Umeshu can be enjoyed straight, on the rocks, or mixed (try soda or green tea!). Aperitif, digestif, everything-tif, we love umeshu!!!
