Domaine de la Tourlaudiere
2019 Domaine de la Tourlaudiere Bohale Muscadet sur lie
A long lineage in winemaking doesn't necessarily make a good winemaker. However Romain has it in spades. This Muscadet or Melon de Bourgogne is a variety that used to be grown in Burgundy somehow making it's way to the Loire. 8 months of lees (dead yeast) to build texture and zero sulphites, this guy has the depth of a Jura Chardonnay, fruit forward (green apples), fresh and mineral driven delicious drop. Light, dry and high in acid it calls for some lunch time shellfish.
