This wine naming honours Elvie Clarke, mother of Kevin John and daughter of Ephraim and Louisa Clarke. Elvie Alice Clarke was a gifted pianist and enchanting story teller. Elvie’s musical career was cut short by the first World War. The wine is a blend of 58% sauvignon blanc, 35% Semillon and 7 % Verdelho. The vines were planted in 1995-1997 and are certified biodynamic since 2008 and owned by Cullen Wines since 2016. The fruit was hand harvested around the biodynamic calendar of fruit and flower days, the wine was naturally fermented without additions of acid malolactic culture and fermentation yeast allowing the lands voice to sing loudly in the glass.
