Eastern Peake - 2022 Walsh Block Pinot Noir

Also established in 1995 by long term friends Frank and Kerry Walsh, the Walsh Block is a vineyard that many may know for the famed Walsh Block syrah that comes from here. Situated a stone’s throw from Eastern Peake, the Walsh Block enjoys a similar soil profile and elevation. Despite the challenging season a good yield was produced from the five acres planted to pinot noir. Again nothing changes in production, there is however a slightly higher percentage of new oak. While this is notable on the palate, it is seamlessly integrated into the fruit profile of the wine. - Owen Latta, Winemaker.
