Guava in colour, tropical aromatics mixed with red fruits and spice. Some structure on the pallet from the arneis (think juicy orange wine style). Yum.
This ever-changing blend comprises 75% Arneis, 15% Grenache and a smidge of Sauvignon Blanc this year. First made in 2013, the wine comes from Peter’s Creek vineyard in McLaren Vale, where the Arneis and Sauvignon sit on broken quartzite soils. The Grenache comes from the much-loved Lilies vineyard from the outside rows. The Arneis and Grenache go through carbonic maceration for two weeks before pressing to tank. - James Erskine, Winemaker.
