100% Pommard (D4V2) Pinot Noir from our leased vineyard deep in the bush in Ironbank. Higher iron content in the loam clay soils a factor too. All leaning towards a structured style of Pinot. Hand harvested into a mix of 20kg crates and 1⁄2 tonne bins. Fermented with 30-40% whole bunches. Small batches, sometimes as tiny as an open barrique. 9 months in used French oak hogheads. A darker more savoury accent typically loaded with spice but tempered as much as you can a wild brumby.
