Do you know what’s ridiculous? Having to go all the way to Macedon to find Cabernet Franc fruit! We searched high and low in 2022 to find the perfect Franc, and ended up sending our vineyard team off with a trailer to the other side of Melbourne to secure this little parcel. A fun foray into a region we haven’t worked with before with a variety we know and love. The nose is bright & perfumed. Violet, blackberry, a little leafy with an edge of anise. Palate is pleasantly weighty with savoury, chalky tannins, and notes of blackberry compote, plum, pepper and bright fresh fennel frond.
